What started as a commitment to only use organic cotton, evolved into investing in sustainable fabrics like Tencel, a fibre obtained by eucalyptus, and Br4, a polyamide fibre made from the caster plant, instead of petroleum. We’re introducing recycled plastics for any polyester, elastane and product accessories.
Our investment in manufacturing and dying processes means less water used, and recycling runoff water from production where possible to not pollute the environment.
We have been reviewing and continue to review our use of plastics in our packaging.
We are replacing all plastics with biodegradable or post-consumer recyclable plastics, and keeping our packaging simple and at a bare minimum to avoid waste.
In-house manufacturing means no sweatshops, no child-labor and employment is freely chosen with safe and hygienic working conditions. The pay is good and opportunities for pay increases are available with normal working hours being the norm.
Freddy upholds the principles of the Ethical Trading Initiative Base Code, with the Universal declaration of human rights, as well as with ILO conventions and recommendations.
All our partners and suppliers must sign our code of conduct that states that they fully understand and uphold these principles.
